I haven't heard anything, and I can't find anything in the 976 fishing report either. It mentions shad several times, but never in context with Lake Mohave or the Colorado River. The report is for mostly southern California, so its surprising they even mention Lake Mohave to Willow Beach, since that is not in California, but the only thing I could find mention was that striped bass could be caught there. All the shad talk seems to be focused on lakes throughout southern California; Diamond Valley Lake and Lake Nacimiento. Maybe I'm missing something??

I know I brought up this topics last year about shad. I am an angler that also recently purchased a speargun also. Before I purchased my speargun I had to save up of wetsuit gear. So last October I purchased a wetsuit, mas, goggles, fins etc. I went for a swin from Davis dam down to ,y house in bullhead and seen two large schools of shad. I was so excited .they were at least 3 inches long and there were hundreds if not more. I followed them down river for about two miles and this school of trout showed up aroun 2-3 lbs and started darting thru them and eating them. It was like a nat geo show! Any way I'm bringing this up again because I heard rumor that schools of gizzard shad were on mohave. My question is has anybody seen any schools of shad. Whether its gizzard or threadfin this year?

I'm seeing more razorback suckers than either shad or striper.......maybe they should plant some shad or bony tail chubs because there are razorback suckers everywhere at willow clear down to needles on the river......what's the biologist report on this?
