The stripers are getting ready to start spawning and the wind is starting to come up to camouflage all of us surface dwellers. We were out last week and got into some good actionwith one 16lb'er in the boat, pics to follow. This week the weather is looking good for the weekend. Get out and get into the action.

We are solidly into the spawn now. Every fish we take is full of eggs and the bite is starting. Too bad this place is like a ghost town and I'm just typing to myself.

Yeah, no additional funding but we keep the awards going since it doesn't cost us much and we like to hear what is going on out there. Maybe we can start some active discussions in the next six weeks as things heat up. There seems to be some dramatic changes in Lake Mohave over the last five years, will things ever settle into a new norm?

It would be great to get more discussions going on this body of water. I've been spending most of my time up around Willow Beach since Nevada stopped planting trout. I'd be interested what's happening down river.

I just spent two days trolling for striper from Katherine to princess and back with no luck on stripers. I usually at least get one or two...very slow on the southern end

Good to know. I've heard that striped bass fishing has been pretty so so in the basin this year. We didn't see a single one in our nets this year during our march netting survey, and smallmouth bass outnumbered largemouth bass nearly 2 to 1. Things are definitely changing in parts of Lake Mohave. So many things have happened to the reservoir in the last 5 to 7 years it would be hard to pinpoint the cause, but black bass fishermen should be more than happy.

Striper fishing on the river around Willow Beach has been a little slower compared to this time last year. One thing I have noticed is that we haven't seen any fish over 20lbs in a while.
